Partnering for Success: Logic Group Partner Day Celebrates Partner’s Achievements
11th May, 2006: The Logic Group’s Partner Day, held this year at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, has proved the most successful ever, attracting record numbers of both attendees and organisations. Testifying to the growth and increased benefits of the group’s partner programme over the last year, the event also saw a record number of new partners attending the conference for the first time.
“The Logic Group’s partner programme has gone from strength to strength, with a wealth of new partners coming on board, allowing us to offer clients innovative new solutions as well as expanding our reach into new markets,” says Brian Sellers, Logic Group Vice President Sales. “In recognition of this, we have enhanced and strengthened our partner programme, allowing us to support our partners much more effectively. Partners can now benefit from additional support across sales, marketing and technical areas. The 2006 programme classifies partners as solution, alliance or affiliates. We are also launching a new partner section on our extranet site, which will provide our partners with secure access to information specifically produced to meet the needs of our partners, including the latest developments at The Logic Group and in the industry at large.”
The Partner Day saw keynote presentations by several external speakers, including Martec , and Microsoft, on their perception of changing market trends and opportunities, before culminating with an awards ceremony recognising the many outstanding achievements of The Logic Group’s partners. The following awards were given:
“Torex Retail’s performance this year has been truly exceptional and more than merits them receiving our top award of Partner of the Year for the first time,” says Sellers. “They have really pulled out the stops to deliver impressive results, with a raft of wins and new projects for such clients as Ethel Austin, Hobbycraft, Trago Mills and TJ Hughes.”
"BT Expedite was the clear winner in the Sale of the Year category, with a major project for SportsWorld, the company behind leading sporting brands Donnay, Sportsoccer and Lillywhites, to migrate thousands of Points of Sale to Chip & PIN across its entire retail estate of 176 UK stores and 28 stores in Europe," comments Sellers.
Receiving the award for Solution of the Year were Cubic Transportation Systems, the world's largest provider of integrated electronic ticketing systems. “The combination of Cubic’s automated fare collection systems with The Logic Group’s card processing systems has been critical to providing the UK transport sector with modern and efficient ticketing, by accepting Chip & PIN at both ticket counters and unattended payment terminals,” continues Sellers.
“The Logic Group Commitment Award was presented to Itim, in recognition of its widescale adoption of The Logic Group’s innovative products and services, such as electronic gift cards and Chip & PIN. Further examples include the provision of Managed Networking Services to customers like Uniqlo and Courtesy Shoes, showing that Itim are pointing the way to the future,” notes Sellers. “Itim has consistently been at the forefront of introducing the latest solutions to its customers.”
